Crossing the County Line
Hey folks - so we're based in Sarasota but honestly we do almost as much work in Manatee County as we do right here at home. Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Parrish, Palmetto - we're over there all the time. Figured I'd show off some of our favorite recent projects from that side of things.
Lakewood Ranch Driveway Expansion
This one was cool. Family in Lakewood Ranch had a standard two-car driveway but they'd added a third garage bay. Needed us to extend the driveway to match. The tricky part was color matching to the existing concrete which was about 8 years old. We got it pretty close - you can tell if you really look but 99% of people wouldn't notice.
Parrish New Construction
Parrish is BLOWING UP right now. So much new construction out there. We did the driveway, walkways, and back patio for a new build out that way. The soil out in Parrish is a little different than what we deal with closer to the coast - more clay, holds water more. We had to do extra base prep and make sure the compaction was right. But that's the kind of thing that separates a job that lasts from one that doesn't.
Palmetto Pool Deck
Ripped out an old pool deck in Palmetto that was spalling bad - the surface was flaking off in sheets. Happens a lot down here because of the salt air and sun exposure. We poured a new stamped deck with a cool slate pattern. Homeowner was over the moon about it. That's the kind of job that makes you feel good driving home.
Different County, Same Standards
One thing I'll mention - Manatee County has slightly different permitting than Sarasota County. We handle all the permit stuff but if you're over there and wondering about the process, just know it's a little different but we've done it a hundred times.
